Here is Coatings World’s weekly recap—the most viewed news stories on our site for the week ending May 2, 2026.

First up this week, Axalta released its Q1 2026 financial results, in which net sales reached $1.25 billion. Next, PPG installed an advanced testing line for radiation-curable coatings at its R&D Center of Excellence in Marly, France. The line can test multiple curing technologies, including infrared (IR), ultraviolet (LED, excimer, and arc lamps), and electron beam (EB). PPG also announced its Q1 2026 financials, in which net sales increased 7% to $3.9 billion. Behr Paint Company launched BEHR PREMIUM PLUS® ECOMIX™ Plant-Based* Paint & Primer.
